Bedford – Glenn E. Abel, 55, of 166 Poplar View Lane, Bedford, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at the I.U. Medical Center in Indianapolis.

Born July 3, 1951 in Orange Co., IN, he was the son of Thomas and Oris (Wright) Abel. He married Lori Strunk on February 28, 1976 and she survives. He graduated from the Springs Valley High School with the class of 1969 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Viet Nam War. He later graduated from Ivy Tech with a degree in HVAC. He was an employee at Visteon in Bedford and a member of the Hilltop Pentecostal Church.

Surviving with his wife, Lori of Bedford are his children, Jeremy L. Abel and his wife, Rachel of Bedford, Kim Blackwell and her husband, Scott of Bedford and Kerry Reuter of Miami, FL; grandchildren, Evan Blackwell, Tyler Blackwell and Darcy Elizabeth Abel; two brothers, David Abel and Steve Abel of French Lick, IN; two sisters, Ethel Abel and Carletta Slayton both of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bob Abel.
