Rosella B. Hodek, age 97, formerly of 16803 Jambo Creek Rd., Mishicot and a resident of Artisan Senior Living and Memory Care, of DePere, WI entered into eternal rest Friday, July 6, 2018. The former Rosella Bohachek was born October 26, 1920 in the town of Cooperstown, Brown County, WI. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Duffeck Bohachek. Rosella attended Hickory Grove School in the town of Cooperstown. On October 12, 1940 she married Benjamin Hodek at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Denmark. They were married for 59 years. Ben preceded her in death on September 8, 1999. They owned and operated the family dairy farm in the town of Gibson in Manitowoc County for approximately 60 years. Rosella was a member of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish in Tisch Mills, and a member of the Rosary Society of the church. She was also a member of the Norman Czech, Czechs of WI, and the Happy Homes Homemaker Club. Rosella was a busy lady, not only raising a family and keeping a spotless home, but also doing the farming and milking chores. She enjoyed landscaping with many beautiful flowers and keeping up a large vegetable and fruit garden. She was an excellent seamstress, but her specialty was a wonderful bakery, exhibited by her numerous and delicious breads, pies, tortes, and especially Bohemian kolaches.

She is survived by her four children: Audrey Hodek, of Mission, TX, Dale (Gail) Hodek, of DePere, WI, Shirley (Robert) Lindeman, Louisville , KY and Gerald Hodek, Las Vegas, NV. She is further survived by eleven grandchildren: Allen, David, Terry, Jamie (partner Mike Badeau), Cindy Resch, Rick (Leandra) Resch, Sarah (Kurt) Klinesmith, Tim (Tina) Hodek, Kristen Hodek (partner Melanie Knott), Ryan (Miranda) Lindeman, Leanne (Andy) Vonderhaar, 24 great-grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law: Lester and Colleen Bohachek, of Manitowoc, and three nieces. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law: Charles and Helen (Zeman) Bohachek, and one nephew, Allan Bohachek.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church in Tisch Mills. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Reverend James Dillenberg burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church, until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Rosella's family would like to extend a special thank you to the many dedicated caregivers at Artisan Senior Living and Memory Care of DePere during the past 10 years. Also many thanks to Heartland Hospice for their devoted care and support. Their kindness and compassion for Rosella were very much appreciated by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice. The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting with funeral arrangements.
