Robert D. Hansen, age 80, of Manitowoc, died Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his parents: Donald and Alice Hansen; one brother: Russell Hansen.

Bob was born on March 1, 1938 in Manitowoc, son of the late Donald and Alice (Brachman) Hansen. He attended local area schools; a 1956 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School.

As a young man Bob attained the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He served in the U.S. Army as an M.P. with the 523 M.P. Detachment from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1959, achieving the rank of Sergeant. Bob worked as a cross country semi-truck driver.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and his Model A with his best gal Donna, and vacationing and spending time with Oscar his dog. In the past Bob served as a Scout Master in Manitowoc and was a current member of the AmVets Post #99 of Manitowoc.

He liked to participate in the reenactment of the Buffalo Bill Show and participated weekly on the Open Mic show of WOMT radio.
