Richard W. Guthrie, 59, of Clyde, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018, in an Abilene hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2018, at the Clyde Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home.

Richard was born in Abilene, Texas, on March 20, 1959, to Richard Durwood and Murrell Dee McGaugh Guthrie.

He graduated from Clyde High School and attended McMurry University.

Richard served in the U.S. Army and was a welder and a security guard.

He is survived by his mother, Dee Hines, of Clyde; two sons, Sean Michael Guthrie and Dr. Liam Matthew Guthrie of Dallas; one brother, Wayne Guthrie of Fort Davis; and one sister, Cheryll Dee Morris and husband Rodney of Clyde.
