He was employed by Warner and Swasey for more than 31 years.He was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, the YMCA, AMVETS, and was a life member of the New Philadelphia B.P.O. Elks, VFW and the Tusco Rifle Club. He was a veteran of the Army during World War II. John was an avid sportsman and sports fan and was proud of having played for Woody Hayes at New Philadelphia High School.
Mr. Seibold was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite "Peg" (nee Yaggi) in 1964, son Thomas E. on March 2002 and sister Leona Bye and is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jane and John Warmus and their children, Matt and J.T., all of Green; daughter-in-law, Lisa Bruhn-Seibold of Columbus; grandchildren, Seth Isaac (Heather) Seibold and Meg Seibold, all of Columbus; and his longtime friend, Evelyn Kinsey of New Philadelphia.
A Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with Fr. David Durkee officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 to 2:45 p.m. at the Anthony and Biscan Funeral home. Cremation will follow services with inurnment at East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia at a later date. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Phialdelphia from 3 to 5 p.m.The family has requested memorial contributions be made to Queen of Heaven Building Fund or the Greenview Inn.
