BEDFORD - Elizabeth "Liz" Greenway, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 15, 2018.
Elizabeth was born July 23, 1926, to John C. and Bessie Merrill Ramsey in Nanafalia, Alabama. She attended school in Nanafalia and graduated from Sweetwater in 1943. She moved to Texas to attend nursing school where she met her future husband, Clifford B. Greenway, and they married on Oct. 2, 1944. They moved to Fort Worth in 1951 to raise their family. She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church, where she was a sunday school teacher. She pursued her dreams as a nurse after graduating from Harris School of Nursing as a LVN after her children were in school. She worked at Harris Hospital for many years and was an active member of the LVNA #82, where she served as president. In later years she continued to practice nursing while caring for the elderly. She also volunteered with the American Heart Association taking blood pressures at The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Clifford B. Greenway; her mother and father; and her 10 brothers and sisters.
Survivors: Three daughters, Bess Dodson (Terry), Johnette Pyron (Spalding) and Kathy Carter (Roy); one son, Ramsey Greenway (Judy); 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews..
