Rose Marie Daugherty, 76, of 27 Paul Revere Rd. Oil City, PA., died at 1:36 A.M. Thursday July 19, 2018 at her home following a period of declining health.

Born Nov. 16, 1941 in Oil City, PA. , she was the daughter of the late Clayton & Rosella Thomas Homer.

Rose was a graduate of Oil City High School.

On June 4, 1960 she married Lawrence D. Daugherty and he survives.

Rose had worked at Hileman & Woods in Oil City and later for American Greeting Cards in North Carolina.

She and her husband had lived in North Carolina for 34 years before returning to the area.

Rose had belonged to St. Therese's in North Carolina and currently was a member of St. Stephen's Church.

She had volunteered in the soup kitchen in North Carolina. Rose enjoyed working with stained glass, going to the beach, shopping, reading and crocheting.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Scott Daugherty & his wife Mary of Oil City; grandchildren Matthew Daugherty & his wife Tiffany, Benjamin Daugherty, Nicole Daugherty; a great granddaughter, Faith; one sister, Carolyn Watson of Oil City; one brother, Clayton" Butch" Homer & his wife Sandy of Rocky Grove and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Dean Watson

Their will be no viewing or visitation.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, (where Rose attended when she was a young girl) with Rev. John Miller, Presiding.

Interment will follow in Brandon Cemetery.
