Ray passed away at a Topeka hospital. He was the son of Orville Donald and cordelia Agnes (Blakley) Vines. He married married Loretta L. Allen on March 26, 1954, but divorced in 1972. He married Patricia L. Vines on October 2, 1993 in Topeka. He graduated from Topeka High School. Survived by his wife, one daughter, four sons, three sisters, and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Topeka. Burial was in Keene Cemetery.
