Linda L Phillip, went home to her Lord and Savior July 20, 2018 wrapped in the love of her family after a valiant life lived despite cancer. From her birth in Manitowoc on August 25, 1959 to her death on Friday, July 20, 2018, she has touched lives by her love, compassion and care. She was born in Manitowoc, WI to Dennis and Elizabeth (Sue) Lang and the oldest of three children. While in high school, she met the love of her life, Kenneth Phillip. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1977. She married Ken on September 16, 1978 at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. Together, they had three daughters and one son. Linda devoted her life to her family and children within the community. Ken and Linda provided care to foster children for more than 15 years. Linda later worked for Birth to Three, The Autism Society of the Lakeshore and Curative Connection as a Job Coach. Linda was most proud of her nine grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, baking, child development, quilting and was determined to leave a quilt keepsake for each grandchild.
Linda will be forever remembered by her husband, Ken, three daughters Amy (Michael) Jagemann, Franktown CO, Elizabeth (Eric) Paulson, Jackson WI, Cristin (Allen) Rounds, Manitowoc WI and one son Alexander, Manitowoc WI, nine grandchildren Elizabeth, Emma, Michael and Grace Jagemann, Ethan and Ava Paulson, Collin, Lauren and Coralyn Rounds. Linda will be forever remembered by parents Dennis and Elizabeth Lang, Manitowoc; one brother Steve Lang, Valders WI and one sister Karen (Joe) Coppens, sister in law Margaret Phillip, brother in law Tom Phillip (Sue) as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her in-laws, Joe and LaVerne Phillip, brother in law Tony Phillip and brother in law Dennis Phillip.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Faith Free Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be Pastor Jeremy Vance with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018. The visitation will continue Wednesday morning at Faith Free Church, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
Linda and her family express sincere gratitude to the countless friends who offered support in so many ways to join her in her fight. We wish to express a special thank you to Drs. Gamblin, Erickson, George and Paulson of Froedert and the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr Baatz of Holy Family Cancer Center and Dr. Deshur for medical care and providing much needed hope.
