William Bradford Grimes 1860-1936

William B. Grimes was the youngest son of Samuel S. and Louisa Ann Yeargain Grimes, he was born on July 27, 1860 and died in Ursa Township, Adams County, Illinois in 1936. He was married twice, first to Keturah Burrows Grimes by whom he had a daughter, Lillie Grimes, born in April of 1885. His first wife died in December of 1885 at age 24, leaving him with this infant child. Keturah was originally buried in the Denson Cemetery to the Northwest of Ursa Illinois, but was moved to the New Providence Cemetery Northeast of Ursa, sometime in 1976 and laid to rest next to William.
He second married Kathryne "Kate" Wiester and she also bore him a daughter in June of 1889, whom they named Felicia. His second wife too would die young, she died in December of 1902 at the age of 29, leaving William with two infant daughters to raise. I have no record of him getting married for a third time, so I assume that his family in and around the Adams County area were instrumental in their upbringing.
