JEAN EVELYN ESTEP HEWITT

PORTSMOUTH — Jean Evelyn Estep Hewitt, 85, of Portsmouth, died Friday, June 1, 2018 at SOMC. She was born November 1, 1932 in Boone County, West Virginia to the late, Lester Gunnoe and Dollie Icie (Kinder) Kepp. She was a retired Nurse at SOMC for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James T. Estep, her second husband, Robert Hewitt, a daughter that died in infancy, Jeanne Estep, a grandson, Ryan Eggar, and a brother, Millard Gunnoe.

Jean is survived by her three children; Mike Estep (Debbie) of Wheelersburg, Rick Estep (Laura) of Portsmouth, and "Micki" Michelle Eggar (Bob) of Portsmouth, 11 grandchildren; Michael Estep (Jennifer), Jennifer Wolfe (Adam), Jason Estep (Leslie), Jon Estep (Kim), Joe Estep (Capil), Matt Eggar (Stephanie), Steve Estep (Karly), Greg Estep (Mandy), Sarah Eggar Kosanovic (Dragon), Brian Estep (Rachael), and Jeanne Lauder (Shea), a granddaughter-in-law, Marla Eggar, 23 great-grandchildren, a sister, Joyce Stevens of Columbus, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 6:00 PM Monday, June 4, 2018 at Melcher Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Rawlings officiating. A visitation for friends and family will be from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Monday.
