Richard Lewis Hairston, 77, of Yanceyville, NC, died April 22, 2017 at the Brian Center, Yanceyville. Born June 16, 1939, he was the son of Aaron Hairston, Sr. and Cordie Law Hairston. He was married to the late Shirley Dickerson Hairston.
Survivors include a daughter, Sylvia Davis; two sons, Freddie Hairston and Ritchie (Fernette) Hairston; eight grandchildren; five sisters, Catherine Stamps, Jean Saunders, Mae Hairston, Louise Hamlet and Shirley Thomas; twin brother, Robert Hairston. He was also predeceased by two siblings, Nannie Williams and Aaron Hairston, Jr.
Burial will be in Silver Creek Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.
