Michael B. “Mike” Ahern, passed away unexpectedly, while visiting his son in Adrian, MN on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. He was 68 years old. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Tom and Kathleen Ahern.

Mike was the son of Thomas and Kathleen (Berendt) Ahern. He would be raised in the Twin Cities area, and the family would often visit Beaver Lake near New Richland most summers.

After High School, Mike attended Mankato State University where he would obtain a Bachelor of Engineering degree. His work would take him all over the country, living in 28 states throughout
his career.

Mike was an engineer for companies that would aid in speeding up production, or finding ways to save companies on production costs. His latest job was working for Sikorsky Helicopters. He was currently living in Lewisville, TX.

Mike enjoyed many things in life. He liked his work, and he liked that his work sent him all over the country. Mike was talented at making stain glass and wood carving. He was always on the go, and was always doing something to stay busy.
