He was born Richard Huey, son of Viola Huey and unknown man.
Adopted by Viola's husband in 1945 and his name was changed to Richard Papp.
He had no middle name.
He was raised in Flint, Michigan and was a graduate of Beecher High School. When first married he lived in Clio, Michigan. He and his second wife lived in Elba, Michigan then moved to rural Lapeer County, Michigan where they remained for several years before relocating to Florida.

PAPP, Richard- Of Bradenton, Florida, formerly of Flint, age 49, died Thursday, June 12, 1986, in Tampa, Florida. Cremation has taken place. Friends desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association. Mr. Papp had resided in Bradenton for 2 years moving from Lapeer. He was employed by AC Spark Plug Division for 20 years. Surviving are: wife, Lillian; daughters, Patricia and Bill Boman and Candy and Rick Boroff; 2 grandchildren; step-children, John and Sherry Madden, Laurie and Alan Wischmeyer, Madonna Withey and Patrice Madden; 6 step-grandchildren; parents, Charles and Viola Papp; brother, Clarence Papp and wife Hope; 2 nephews; host of friends.
