Beverly A. Ament, age 88, of Yorkville, IL passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born on July 17, 1930 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Leslie and Elizabeth (Palmer) Woolley.
Beverly was united in marriage on November 26, 1948 to Donald E. Ament and they spent the next 69 happy years together. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Beverly was a long time member of the Yorkville Congregational United Church of Christ. She was a wedding coordinator for Chapel on the Green in Yorkville. Beverly spent many years working at the church, the Yorkville Public Library, the Yorkville Public Schools, and at local businesses. Bev truly enjoyed her identity as a farm wife. She was also an avid collector of Tea Leaf dishware.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Ament of Yorkville, IL; her son Ross and his wife Connie Ellis Ament and grandson Nathan Ellis and his wife Jaimie Ament and great grandsons Noah and Charlie Ament and Jacob Ellis and his wife Meredith Ament and great granddaughter Abigail Ament; her daughter Nan Maree Miller and grandsons Matthew Christopher and Peter Shepard Miller; her sister Barbara Woodford; as well as many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Elizabeth “Bessie” Woolley; her brother Bruce Woolley; and several nephews and other relatives.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Yorkville Congregational United Church of Christ, 409 Center Parkway, Yorkville, IL with Reverend Michael Obenauer officiating. Interment will follow in the Pavillion Cemetery, Yorkville, IL.
Friends may visit from 9:00 AM until the Hour of Service on Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Yorkville Congregational Church in Yorkville, IL.
