Roberta L. "Tootie" Pifer, 90, Annapolis, Maryland, died Friday, July 20, 2018, at home.

She was born June 25, 1928, in DuBois, a daughter of the late Naomi Ruth (Thompson) and George Anderson.

On Oct. 25, 1947, she married Lorraine J. "Boots" Pifer, who preceded her in death Sept. 9, 2017.

Roberta was a housewife and worked as a Bell telephone operator. She enjoyed the beach, traveling and reading.

Her surviving relatives include a daughter, Bonnie I. Pifer of Annapolis, Maryland; a brother, Bill Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Terry Pifer, and her brothers, Wes, Ernie, Don and George Anderson.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, July 27, 2018, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 1 p.m., with Pastor Tom Spiker officiating.
Interment will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney.
