With her husband William Thomas Mapp dying in March 1883, Ella C. Mapp moved to Meridian, Lauderdale Co, MS, and lived with her son Charles (age 30) and his wife Lillian (age 27) per the 1900 census. Per the 1910 census, she is residing at 25 Avenue, Meridian, Lauderdale Co, MS, with her son Charles (age 40). Ella C. Mapp (age 76), widow and roomer, is residing at 25 Avenue, Meridian, Lauderdale Co, MS, in the 1920 census. Her son, Charles, is not listed in this census. Ella Cecelia Scott Mapp died after the 1920 census. This picture is from a reunion of the Scott and Whitaker families in October 1908. They are celebrating the baptism of Martin Whitaker Severance born in August 1908, grandson of Ella Cecelia’s sister Rosa.
