A celebration of life for Mrs. Doris Thompson Campbell, "Mama Doris" of Choudrant were held 11:00am Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Ruston with Bro. Brad Jones and Bro. Kenneth Swanner officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe.
Mrs. Campbell was born September 29, 1922 in Brookhaven, MS and passed from this life on July 26, 2018 in Choudrant, LA at the age of 95.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd Thompson; her second husband, Clyde Campbell; one son, Billy Lloyd Thompson; her parents, Issac and Gladys Nations Townsend; her birth mother, Hattie Maxwell; and one sister, Coreen Bands.
Survivors include her two adopted daughters, Hilda Lee and Phyllis Mattox and husband, Jr.; also survived by five nieces and a host of extended family and friends.
