Olena: Shirley A. Coy, 66, of Olena, died Tuesday afternoon at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Norwalk, after suffering a heart attack at work on Monday. She was born Oct. 20, 1931, in Milan, daughter of the late Lloyd and Miriam (Harper) Hite. She moved as a young girl to the Olena area, where she lived most of her life. She was a member of Hartland Center Community Church. She had worked for the former Fanny Farmer Candy Co., of Norwalk, and Albright Turkey Farms of Monroeville. For the past 10 years, she worked for Kent Sporting Goods Co., of New London. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Burton E. Coy; daughters and son-in-laws; sons and daughters-in-laws; 16 grandchildren; brothers, Harper Hite of norwal, William "Billy" Hite of Olena, Paul Hite of Maryville, Tenn, and Robert Hite of Attica; and sisters, Rosemary Scoville of Denver, Colo., Dorothy Haupricht of Norwalk and Helen Harold of New London. Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. Saturday at Harland Center Community Church, 2750 Court Road, Norwalk, with the Rev. Todd Frochlich officiating. Burial will be in Olena Cemetery.
