Clarence Washington Cecil, Jr., of Cecil Lane, Narrows, departed this life Saturday morning, July 28, 2018 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. Born in Princeton, WV on April 10, 1943 he was a son of the late Clarence W. Cecil, Sr and Chlorene Ruth Bailey Cecil. He was retired from New River Castings, was a veteran of the U S Army, was a member of VFW Post 6000 in Narrows, and as a Christian a member of First Baptist Church in Narrows. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sons Darren and Trelby Cecil and his brother Darrell Cecil.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 51 years Janice Rayman Cecil; his daughter Kimberly Marie Cecil of Narrows; his son David Joseph Cecil of Narrows; his grandchildren Whitney, Austin, Darren, Jake, and Ivy Cecil, Megan Harman, Logan Perdue, and Madison Harman; his great-grandchild Audrey Cecil and his sister and brother-in-law Eloise and Rick Helms of Narrows.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastor Jerry Sawyers officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows.
