Buck was a wonderful man who was a devoted husband to his wife Katie for 76 years. They were married on August 3rd, 1940 in Jefferson County, Alabama.
He was very much loved and will be greatly missed.
Buck was part owner of ACE Fence Company of Birmingham and lived in Gardendale until he retired in 1983 and moved to Smith Lake. Buck so much enjoyed his life on Smith Lake fishing and watching birds and hosting many family members and loving on their dog, Peanut.
Buck is preceded in death by his dad Robert “Big Daddy” Jones and mom Emily Goodwin; his wife Katie Lou Jones; son, Jerome Jones and his brothers and sister.
He is survived by a host of family members that love him very much. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday August 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Moncrief Cemetery.
