Funeral service for Brenda Ann Kirby, 50, will be Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Brooks officiating.
Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kirby died Sunday, July 29, 2018. She was born November 11, 1967, to Odell Scott and Evelyn Virginia Douglas Peoples. Brenda was truly an angel on earth that made it her life's purpose to take care of others. She gave selflessly and never expected anything in return. She made a difference in every person's life that she touched. When Brenda wasn't working, she enjoyed spending time with her family and planning things for her grandsons. She attended First Presbyterian Church in Decatur. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a blessing to us all. She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy D. Kirby of Decatur, a son, Heath Kirby (Carol) of Hartselle; two daughters, Sharona Maples, (Jereme) of Decatur and Heather Wann (Paul) of Spanish Fort; her mother, Evelyn Peoples of Town Creek; six brothers, Bobby Scott of Trinity, Randy Scott, Rodger Scott, Tony Scott, Morris Stephens, Stoney Stephens, all of Town Creek; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Randy Scott, Rodger Scott, Tony Scott, Bobby Scott, Morris Stephens and Stoney Stephens.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jereme Maples, Paul Wann and Dylan Wann.
