Alfred Edward Butt passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late Alfred and Elsie Butt. He was proceeded in death by a sister, Eleanor and a daughter, Joni. On February 25, 1956, Al married the love of his life, Bonnie Lusignolo. They were married for 62 years and had three daughters. Al was raised with his sister, Eleanor in Brooklyn, and at age 18 he left to join the Air Force. He served in the Korean War as a medic for 4 years from 1951 to 1955. Al worked for Buckeye Union Insurance Company as an accountant for 25 years in Columbus, OH. Al and Bonnie studied the bible with Jehovah's Witnesses and were baptized together on November 24, 1984. Al served as an elder for many years and had various responsibilities within the congregation. Al and Bonnie moved to Raleigh in 2003, where they lived with their daughter, Sandy, until Al's passing. Al is survived by his wife, Bonnie and their two daughters as well as two grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and his beloved Shih-Tzu, Punkin.
