Chester A. Day, 88, of 794 LaGrange Rd., died in Rebel Nursing Home at 4 a.m. today after six months illness. His wife Ella, died in 1935.

Mr. Day was born in Farmington, Minn., July 31, 1875, and lived in this area 45 years, coming from Chagrin Falls. He was a retired employee of the Coleman-Burnett Oil Co., and was a member of Washington Ave Christian Church and Frank S. Harmon Masonic Lodge 663 F and AM.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth D. Puls, Detroit, a son, Allen C. Day, Elyria, two grandsons, Thomas and Richard Day, four brothers, Dr. George Day, Minneapolis, Perry, Lakeville, Minn, Walter, Bagley, Minn., and Ben F., Portland, Ore., and a sister, Mrs. Dillon P. Tierney, Chisago City, Minn.

The family will receive friends in the Wainwright Funeral Home tomorrow and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
