On August 13, 1949, she married Robert M. Powell, who preceded her in death on April 30, 2003, after 53 years of marriage.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Wheeler and her husband Tracy; two grandchildren, Leslie Starr and her husband Greg and Jerree Stout and her husband J.D.; and three great-grandsons, Andrew Lipscomb and his wife Brittany, Matthew Swafford, and Dustin Stout.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Lynn Powell. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by three brothers, Arnold, Arthur, and Frank Haught, and a sister, Opal Pierce.
Juanita was a graduate of Clarksburg Business College, and retired in 1990 as the secretary at the Harrison County Sheltered Workshop after 20 years of service. She was a member of the South Chestnut United Methodist Church, and Ivy Rebekah Lodge 112, Clarksburg. She enjoyed sewing and loved to read.
