Gregory R. Robinson, age 58, a Manitowoc resident, died on Friday evening, April 27, 2012 at his residence.
He was born on November 4, 1953 in Manitowoc County, son of the late Joseph and Violet (Salta) Robinson. On August 10, 1974 he married Sue Zahn in Manitowoc. Greg was employed with Parker Hannifin, from where he retired on July 29, 2011 after 40 years of service.
Greg loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and hunting, spending time at his cabin up north that he built with many special family and friends. He also enjoyed using his metal detector, to see what he could find.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years: Sue Robinson, Manitowoc; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Shawn and BJ, Mosinee, WI and Jeremy (Madeline Barbier) Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Michael, Tyler, Katie, Brice and Tristen; two special sisters-in-law whom he helped raise: Tracy Testa and JoAnne (Paul) Hagen; five siblings and their spouses: Gerald (Norma) Robinson, Geraldine (Bob) Fabian, Germaine (Jack) Carmody, Geralyn (Dennis) Huntington and Gail (Don) Magle; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Christy Zahn, Keith (Tari) Zahn, Becky Zahn and Laurie and Gary Faust. Greg is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Greg was also preceded in death by a granddaughter: Emily Robinson and a brother: Gary Robinson.
Greg has been cremated at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and a memorial service for him will be held at 4:00PM on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Paul Kieffer.
