WILLIAM HARVEY JENKINS, 1868 - 1926

William H. Jenkins, son of William A. and Rachel Price Jenkins was born in 1868 in Adams County, Illinois and died on Monday, July 6, 1926 in Ursa Township, Adams County, Illinois. He married Mary Maude Mayfield on Sunday, October 30, 1892 in the 1st Christian Church of Marcelline, Ursa Township, Adams County, Illinois. At the time of their wedding his residence was in Mendon, Adams County, Illinois.

Note: The William H. Jenkins family is listed in the Adams County Farmers/Breeders Directory of 1918. William Harvey's father, William A. Jenkins, like his son's father-in-law, Henry C, Mayfield, was a Veteran of the Civil War. Both men enlisted in August of 1862 and served with Company B of the 78th Regiment of Illinois Volunteer Infantry. William H. and his wife Maude are buried in the Keath Cemetery 1/2 mile to the south east of the Village of Marcelline, Illinois...
