A retired farmer and lifelong
resident of Kanawha County died
yesterday afternoon-at the home
of his daughter, Mrs. James A.
Burdette of 2729 Pennsylvania
Ave., after a long illness.
William Ellison Burdette, 79, of
Tupper's Creek was a member of
the'New'Prospect Baptist .Church
on Tupper's Creek.
Services will be tommorrqw at 2
p.m. in-Silas Gospel Tabernacle
on Tupper's Creek with the Rev.
Delbert Moore, officiating.. Burial
will be in the family cemetery on
Tupper's Creek under the direction
of .Cunningham Funeral Home.
Also surviving are four sons,
Hubert and Haskell Burdette of
Tupper's Creek, Estel of
Sissonville,
Legg Rt, and Herman, of
Cleveland, 0.; two 'brothers,
Charles and Albert, both of
Charleston; 22 grandchildren and
17 great-grandchildren.
