Genevieve V. Charland, 73, of State Route 30, Malone died Monday, October 31, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family and aided by Hospice of the North Country.

Born on May 25, 1943 in Burke, NY, she was the daughter of Maurice and Lucille (Blair) Tebo.

She was married to Albert Charland on Sept. 17, 1960 in St. George's Church, Burke.
He predeceased her on Oct. 30, 2000.

Mrs. Charland was employed by Sunmount in Tupper Lake for 15 years.
She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church.

She was the oldest of 14 children, the loving mother of 7 children and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a caregiver all her life and enjoyed sewing, knitting and was a jack of all trades.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents; son-in-law, Phillip; six siblings, Ida Mae Tebo, Lee Tebo, Melvina Chabot, Helen Chabot, Bill Tebo and Joyce LaMore.

There are no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3 in Notre Dame Church.
Burial will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lake Titus Rd.
