Mrs. William J Williams instantly lost her life after a truck she was a passenger in collided with a Northern Pacific train near Drummond, MT, while she was vacationing with her husband. They were in the Deer Lodge, Powell, MT area visiting with her mother's family, the Mollenberg's. Her first cousin, once removed, Charles Andrew Hansen, was driving the vehicle and was seriously injured. His war bride, Joyce Margaret Younger Hansen, who had been in the U.S. for only six weeks, lasted only minutes before she also passed.

The Williams' lost their only son John Elvin Williams to World War II in 1944. He was 19 and was in the U.S. Army only 11 months when he was killed in action overseas.

Lillian is survived by her husband, of the home, and her brother Elvin Albeck in Long Beach, CA.

Services were held at the Roanoke Presbyterian Church, Kansas City, MO, with burial at Floral Hills cemetery.
