Manitowoc - Evelyn M. Bruns, age 101, a resident of the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, entered eternal life surrounded by her loving family, Saturday evening, August 4, 2018 at the Center.

She was born on March 3, 1917 in Binford, North Dakota, daughter of the late Peter and Getta (Bjugan) Finstuen. Evelyn was a graduate of Binford High School, North Dakota. On September 26, 1937 she married Warren Bruns in North Dakota. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1988. Evelyn was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Lois & Gene Nelson, Manitowoc; four grandchildren: Kim Simonis, Manitowoc, Cheryl (Kevin) Glaeser, Manitowoc, Warren (Tina) Hayden, Olympia, WA., David (Bruns) Brandt, Manitowoc; six great grandchildren: Tanya (Mason) Simonis, Joshua Simonis and his special friend Ashley, Lisa Simonis and her special friend Omar, Nicole (Brad) Fischer, Nicholas (Amber) Glaeser, Connor Hayden; and five great great grandchildren: Emma & Elise Fischer, Keirstin & Chloe Glaeser and Camron Brandt. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one great grandson: David Moses (Davey) Brandt and eight siblings.

Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center Chapel. Officiating at the Service will be the Revs. Stephen Melso and Robert Kujawski. Burial of Evelyn's cremated remains will occur at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center Chapel, from 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 until 1:00 p.m.
