Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p. m. in Satterwhite's Chapel of Grace for Willie M. Clary, 73, who died Saturday at 5:10 p.m. in Stephens Memorial Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital on March 10.
The Rev. Richard Russell, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiated and burial was in Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Satterwhite Funeral Home.
Born Sept 14, 1895 in Gainesville, he came to Stephens County in 1904. He married the former Annie M. Skaggs, Jan. 20, 1925 at Woodson.
He was a veteran of W.W.I., a member of the American Legion and VFW. He had been critically ill the past five months.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Wayne Clary of Breckenridge and Charley Clary of Bangor, Maine; five daughters, Addie Marie Harris and Virginia Boothe, both of Breckenridge, Alta Mae Ledbetter of Flatonia, Geneva Lee Dunlap of Taft, Calif.; and Bille Ann Fox of Odessa; one brother, George Clary of Odessa; one sister, Ada Mae Hedgepeth of Breckenridge; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bill Harris, Bobby Riley, Arlie Williams, C.D. Roberson, Ray Isbell and Hillery Williams.
