Death of Salamanca Teacher Following Long Illness
Miss Ruth Naomi Grover, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. B. L. Grover, died at the family home at 400 Center street, Salamanca, at 8:15 o'clock Wednesday morning, following an illness of a number of months.
She was born in Kennedy Sept. 10, 1892, and had been a resident of Salamanca for the past 23 years. She was a graduate of Salamanca High school, class of 1911, and of Fredonia Normal, class of 1915. She had been a teacher in the Salamanca public schools and at the time she was taken ill she was principal of the Ward 1 school, West End.
Besides her parents, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Zahniser and Mrs. V. H. Harrington, and three brothers, Lee, Claude and Harold, all residing at the West End.
The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock; Rev. E. J. Edwards of the West End Free Methodist church will officiate. Interment will be made in the family plot in the cemetery at Steamburg. -- Salamanca Press
