Pearl M. Cooprider, 94, died peacefully Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at her home surrounded by family in her last days. She greatly enjoyed the numerous friendships that she developed in her 10 years at Williamsburg Landing.

Pearl was happily married for 50 years to Harold "Coop" Cooprider until his death in 1995. They encouraged each other's growth in many ways, including her professional career and his enjoyment of square dancing.

She earned a Master's Degree in Library Science and retired as director of Reference Services at the University of Maryland. Her love of books is reflected in the literature she has made available to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was and is well loved by her sons, Lee Cooprider of Stow, Massachusetts and Ted Cooprider (Sandy) of Williamsburg; grandchildren, Jason Cooprider (Stacey) of Williamsburg, Zoe Cooprider Randol (Sean) of Silver Spring, Maryland, and Eric Cooprider (Haley) of Newport News; and great-grandchildren, Katelyn Cooprider, Connor Cooprider, Nikki Harman, Simone Pearl Randol, Aubrey Hanson and Desmond Randol.

At her request, there will be no memorial service. Private interment will be held in Gig Harbor, Washington. Arrangements by Nelsen Funeral Home.
