December 27, 1919 - August 7, 2018
Resident of San Jose, CA
Leon passed away peacefully at age 98 1/2. Born to Joseph and Assunta Agnoletti (deceased) in Manciano, Italy, he came to the United States in 1937 and resided in Hartford, Connecticut before moving to San Jose in 1948. Leon is now reunited with his wife of 68 years, Irma. He is survived by sons Robert DDS (Marlene), Richard (Suzy), daughters Susan (Hank) and Lisa (Rob). Loving grandfather to Robbie, Jason (Kellene), Krissy (Taylor), Aaron (Kristina), Michele (Joe), Derrick, Jeffrey, Michael and Danny (Kerri); great grandfather to Caden, Aubrey, Josephina, Savvy, Samuel and Leo. He is preceded in death by sister Elda and granddaughter Tiffany.
Leon started Agnoletti's Upholstery and had a successful business for decades. He was a devout Catholic and devoted parishioner at St. Christopher's Church. He was a decorated World War II veteran and member of Sons of Italy, Italian Catholic Federation-ICF #191, Royal Arcanum, Italian Mens Club, Knights of Columbus, Civic Club of San Jose and Italian American Heritage Foundation.
He will be missed tremendously, loved and remembered every day. He lived a very blessed and long life.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at LIMA-CAMPAGNA-ALAMEDA MISSION CHAPEL, 600 S. Second Street, San Jose. Funeral Mass Friday, August 17, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at ST. CHRISTOPHER CHURCH, 2278 Booksin Avenue (at Curner Avenue), San Jose. Interment to follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
