Gail Booth, 91 of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Orchard View Skilled Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia. Family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Mrs. Gail Booth was born on September 26, 1926 in Manchester, Georgia to the late Allen K. McBride and Elizabeth C. McBride. She had lived in Columbus, Georgia most of her life. Mrs. Booth was married to the late Jack Booth, they were married for 67 years at the time of his passing. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who loved her family. Mrs. Booth was a member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church where she was in the Adult 5 Sunday School class, she was also the Care Group Leader until her health wouldn’t allow her. Other than her parents and late husband, Mrs. Booth is also preceded in death by her sister, Marie Clark. She is survived by her two daughters: Gail B. Faulkner (Tom) of Columbus, Georgia and Gwen B. Williams of Aiken, South Carolina; three grandchildren: Brian Faulkner (Lauren), Jennifer Abbott (Brandon), and Jonathan Williams; three great grandchildren: Bailey Faulkner, Tenley Abbott, and Hudson Abbott; and numerous other relatives and friends.
