The following is an excerpt from "The Baxter Bulletin", Mountain Home, AR Baxter County dated July 27, 1934.

"Several hundred friends and relatives attended the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. & Mrs. J.E. Eubank at Buford Sunday. Both are pioneers of north Arkansas and Baxter county. Both were born in Tupelo, Miss., 73 years ago. Both came to Baxter county in ox carts in 1869. Tom Eubank, father of J.E. Eubank settled a mile west of Buford. Wm. Nelson, father of Mrs. Eubank settled in what is now the little village of Buford. Mr & Mrs. Eubank were married in December 1884 and have been constant residents of the Buford community since that time. They had ten children, two of them, Ben and Earl, died in infancy. The rest are alive and attended the anniversary. They are Mrs. C.S. Tinel, Rondo, AR, Mrs. J.F Coffman, Keo, AR, O.N. Eubank, Rison, AR, Pearl Eubank, Buford, Ar, W.B. Eubank, Toledo, OH, Mrs. W.L. Muncy, St Joe, MO,; and Mrs. Jess Ball, Amagon, AR.

Mr. & Mrs. Eubank are both hale and hearty and bid fair to live to celebrate many other wedding anniversaries."

The newspaper clipping also included the songs that were sung at the gathering, muscial recitals, and the names of the many in attendance (well over 100).
