Edward Morris CopelandEdward Morris Copeland of Stockton, passed away in Lodi on March 30, 2007 at the age of 64. Mr. Copeland was born in Monterey, Tennessee on November 28, 1942 to William and Edna Copeland. He moved to California in 1964. On February 20, 1965, he married his wife of 42 years, Marilyn Jean Flewellen in Stockton. They have made their home there for a number of years. He worked for Moore Truck Lines. He worked as a truck driver for 32 years. He enjoyed traveling, car races and restoring old cars. He also loved animals, but most importantly, he enjoyed being with his family. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #439. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Copeland of Stockton; daughter, Kimberly (Phillip) Ortiz of Stockton; son, Jerry Copeland of Lodi; grandchildren, Dustin, Derek and Ashlee Ortiz and Jake Copeland; brothers, Paul (Delores) Copeland, Fred (Brenda) Copeland, both of Ohio; sisters, Jo (Dick) Nicholas of N.C., Graye Helmuth and Nell Connelly, both of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Charlie and Doyle Copeland. Friends are invited to visit Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Home Church Learning Center, 11451 N. West Lane, Lodi, CA 95240.
