"Services for Mrs. QUEEN BUCHANAN MAY, of Karnack, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church, Leigh, with Rev. Calvin Ruffin officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, in Leigh, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home. Mrs. May died at 12:04 a.m. Friday, November 29, 1996 at Marshall Manor Nursing Home. She was born September 2, 1899, in Karnack, the daughter of Earlie Buchanan and Mrs. Cornelius Williams Buchanan. She was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a housewife, and she was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Jamesie Davis, of Karnack, and Willie V. "Mose" Bolden, of Houston; one daughter-in-law, Ernestine May, of Karnack; one son-in-law, R.L. Wright, of Denver, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 33 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends."
