Evelyn Waugh Caldwell, age 93, of Maiden passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018 at CHCS Lincoln. Born December 19, 1924 in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late John Clinton and Eula Waugh Waugh. Evelyn was a member of Mt. Anderson Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Frank Harding Caldwell; daughter, Faye Hicks; 2 sisters, Peggy West and Betty Jean Hester, 2 brothers, Buck and Jack Waugh and great grandson, Logan Caldwell.
She is survived by:
Daughter: Sue Benfield and husband Roger of Maiden
2 Sons: Mickey Caldwell and wife Ann and Bobby Caldwell and wife Brenda, both of Maiden
7 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Greatgrandchildren
2 Sisters: Vera Jarvis of Statesville and Helen Meadows of Mooresville
4 Brothers: Johnny Waugh of Statesville, Jerry Waugh of Mooresville, Jimmy Waugh of GA and Larry Waugh of Roanoke Rapids, NC
Son-in-law: Mack Hicks of Maiden

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Anderson Baptist Church in Maiden with Revs Donald Cline and Charles Ingle officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday, from 12:45- 1:45 p.m., at the church, prior to the service.
