Funeral.
The funeral of the late Edward [sic] Cecil Lee, who died Sunday morning, took place from the residence, 200 Commerce street, this morning. The services were conducted by Rev. Charles D. Bulla, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church South. The interment was in Bethel Cemetery.

Middle name, identities of parents and spouse, place of birth, date and place of death, thanks to Contributor jerynsly (#48295833), 4/2021. Although published burial records list Edwin Lee's date of death as 29 December 1909, the Alexandria Gazette item above places his death on Sunday, 28 November 1909. Contributor jerynsly, however, cites a Washington Post obituary dated Tuesday, 30 November1909, headed "Edwin Cecil Lee Dead" and states that he "died at Alexandria Hospital early yesterday morning."

At the time of a 1993 survey of Bethel, the grave of Edwin Lee was listed as unmarked. (Vol. 4, "Tombstone Inscriptions of Alexandria, Virginia," by Wesley Pippenger.) A gravestone was placed on his grave in recent years by family members.
