Jack E. Adams (The Gas Man), 94, of Gladstone, MO passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2018. Jack was born June 18, 1924 in Wichita, KS. Jack is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dona Lillian Adams. He had three children; David, Peggy and Kyle, stepdaughter Kristi Arreguin; seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Jack graduated from Washburn University in 1942. In May of 1943 he was called into active duty in the U.S. Navy. He spent 3 years in the service at Banana River Naval Air Station, Cocoa Beach, FL. Jack started to work with the Gas Service Company in 1951 and retired from there in 1986. After retirement, he enjoyed golfing and spending time with his wife, family and friends at Cocoa Beach, where they owned a condo. A gathering celebrating Jack's life will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 1-3pm at the home of Lee and Peggy Evans. Inurnment at a later date in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
