Yonkers - Wasicsko, Anne, a life long Yonkers resident, died 8/18/2018 after a brief illness. She was 93 yrs young. Wife of the late Nicholas Wasicsko (1985). Anne married Nicholas on Feb. 11, 1956 at St. Casmirs Church. Dear mother of the late Nick (1993) past City Council member & Mayor of the City of Yonkers and Michael (Lisa) Wasicsko of Carmel, NY. One of 9 siblings, Anne was born and raised in Yonkers attending Commerce H.S. Anne was employed by the Yonkers Schools and later, the Will Library. A patron of the ARTS, Anne could be found listening to the Yonkers Philharmonic on Sundays, exploring local Museums, appreciating art exhibits, enjoying local parks or bird watching at the Lenoir Preserve. She loved going to movies and always saw the latest release especially if the show was a mystery thriller. An avid reader, she attended the local book club with her friends. Anne loved to laugh, she could always be found in good spirits along with a positive attitude. Anne lived a great life and will be sorely missed by all.

Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Flower Funeral Home, Inc 714 Yonkers Avenue. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Mass Wednesday 10 am St. Casmirs. Interment Oakland Cemetery. Donations preferred to Nicholas C. Wasicsko Scholarship Fund. c/o/ Westchester Community Foundation 210 N. Central Avenue Suite 310 Hartsdale, NY 10530 or the Audubon Society.
