Clarence Brown Teague born on July 11, 1930 in Birmingham, died in Mobile on Saturday, August 18, 2018. Brown married Martha Gaillard and were blessed with five children – Chris Teague (Sally), Ann Grady (Kelly), Gaillard Teague (Buff), David Teague (Paula) and Laura Dix (Brian). He and Martha recently celebrated 57 wonderful years of marriage. Brown was president of Thames, Jackson, & Harris insurance and had a successful career in the industry for 52 years. In addition to his wife and children, Brown is survived by grandchildren Annie Grady Henseler (Taylor), Kate Teague, Gaillard Teague, Sam Grady, Dru Teague, Brown Teague, Eloise Teague, Will Dix, Jack Teague, Martha Teague, George Dix, and the Teague triplets, Samuel, Walker, and Palmer; and his brother-in-law, Fletcher Allen. He is joined in death by grandson Joe Grady, his sister Adrianne Teague Allen, brother Raymond Monroe Teague, Jr., mother Vida Brown Teague, and father Raymond Monroe Teague. Brown was devoted husband and father, an avid dove hunter, lover of all music but especially New Orleans jazz, and master of the sharp quip which usually caused the listener to do a double-take, a surprised laugh, and a huge grin – always in that order. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Church on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 12 noon. Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM at the St. Ignatius gym. In lieu of flowers please send donation to Gaillard Pancreatic Cancer Research Endowment or the St. Ignatius Capital Campaign.
