Funeral services for Emil E. Cynova, 64, will be at 10 am Wednesday at
Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Flora Vista, with the Rev. Jeff King and
the Rev. Oliver Curran officiating.
Burial will be at Memory Gardens cemetery.
Visitation is until 8 pm today at Cope Memorial Chapel in Farmington,
with a rosary being recited at 7 pm at the chapel.
Mr. Cynova died Sunday at Flora Vista. He was born Oct. 20, 1927, in
Baileyborro, Texas. He moved to Flora Vista in 1939. He was Married to
Theda Montgomery Oct. 2 , 1946, at Sacred Heart Church in Farmington. He
was employed as an engineer for 23 years by the New Mexico State Highway
Department, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Theda Cynova of Flora Vista; sons Larry Cynova
and wife LeeAnn of Flora Vista, Tim Cynova and wife Carol of Albuquerque;
daughter Karen Volbrecht and husband Doug of Ovid, Idaho; brothers Alvin
Cynova of Soda Springs, Idaho, and Andy Cynova of Gillette, Wyoming; and
sisters Frieda Vialpando and Rose Vialpando, both of Santa Fe.
There are nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Tom Cynova, Shawn Volbrecht, Benjamin Cynova, Robert
Via lpando, Willis Willyard, and Jim Thurstonson. Honorary pallbearers
will be La Vern Beardsley, Tom Beardsley, and Michael Beardsley.
