James was born in Ghana in 1946 and made Vancouver his home in 1972. Prior to his retirement in 2012, James worked as an automotive technician for Capilano Volkswagen. James was actively involved in volunteering and fundraising for various organizations in the community including the Ghanaian Canadian Association of BC, the Knights of Columbus, St. Andrew’s Parish, St. Joseph’s Parish and the Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation. James had a great sense of humour and passion for current affairs. He was quick-witted, hard working, honest, reliable and generous. He was a trusted advisor who cherished his relationships with family and friends. James had an infectious smile and wonderful laugh. James will be missed dearly.
