Luther C Barnett Sr, 61, died Tuesday at St Anthony Hospital. He was a native of Charlestown, Ind., a retired superintendent for the Louisville Department of Public Works, a Democratic Party precinct captain and a member of Franklin Street Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, the former Jeanette Powers; a daughter, Mrs. Laura Belew; nine sons, Luther Jr., Donald, David, William, Joseph, John, Steve and Gerald Barnett and Jack Mitchell; four sisters, Mrs. Anna O'Neal, Mrs. Josephine Hoffa, Mrs. Reba Felker and Mrs. Madge Schildknecht; and 13 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cralle-Neurath-Underwood Funeral Home, 725 E. Market St., with entombment in Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation at the funeral home will be after noon Thursday.
