Hiron Delmar Knight, age 89, of Springdale, went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2015, in Springdale. He was born July 14, 1926, in Coy, Ark., the son of Rufus and Lillie Moore Knight. He was a member of Cross Church in Springdale and was a retired personnel manager for Tyson Foods, Inc. Mr. Knight had served in the United States Navy and was a graduate of the University of Arkansas. He enjoyed traveling, floating rivers, watching the Razorbacks play ball, especially the basketball team, and Friday night fishing trips with his friends. He is preceded by his parents, one son, Ted Franklin; one daughter, Janet Sue, one brother and one sister.

Mr. Knight is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mada Knight, of the home; one son, Patrick Thomas Knight and his wife, Nellie, of Clarksville; one daughter, Teri Vermeulen and her husband, Don, of Springdale; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at 11 a.m., at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charlie Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. There is not a scheduled visitation. Online condolences may be sent to www.memfuneral.com.
