Born in Raleigh, NC, on October 14, 1936, he was the son of the late James E. Adams, Sr., and Edna W. Adams. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and enjoyed a successful career in Automotive and Yachting sales. Jim was an avid sport fisherman.
Jim was preceded in death by his son, James Michael Adams. Left to cherish his memory: his brother, Jerry Adams and his wife, Laura; two daughters, Cacky Crisher and her husband, Bob, and Daphne Newsome and her husband, George, all of Virginia Beach; two nephews and one niece; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
