John Dyson Albright, 97, resident of Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, PA, for five years and previously of Lancaster, PA, went to his heavenly home on August 12, 2018.

John was born to the late John Clarence Albright and Bertha Lucinda Stimeling, on November 16, 1920 at Fishing Creek near Marysville, PA. He is pre-deceased by one brother, Alfred Albright, and one sister, Ruth Steele. John was exceptionally proud of his son, Johnny, and his granddaughter Christina Marie, both deceased.

John spent four years of active duty with the U.S. Air Force during World War II in the 67th Fighter Command of the 8th Air Force and was stationed in England. Upon his return, he worked 40 years with PP&L in the Lancaster area. He retired from full time employment in 1986 as Area Foreman for the Lancaster Service Center. He was active in Masonic Lodge and greatly enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, as well as hunting and fishing in Perry County.

John is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Jean, and numerous nieces and nephews. John and Jean met at a roller skating rink. During a changing partner skate, after John met Jean, he refused to skate with anyone else. They celebrated 70 years of marriage on July 24, 2018. He and Jean enjoyed vacationing in Ocean City, Maryland, and shopping, especially for antiques, in Lancaster County.

Burial will be at the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Landisburg, PA, and the service will be private.
